Description
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is soliciting quotations for comprehensive building facade renovations at their Pretoria, Scientia Campus. This project involves preparing and painting exterior columns, upstands, and beams with a specified grey paint. It also includes the removal and replacement of damaged window putty, addressing rust, priming, and repainting window frames with a dark onyx enamel paint. Additionally, the scope covers the removal of existing window tint and the supply and installation of reflective one-way silver window tint with 88% glare rejection. The renovation also includes repainting fresh air louvers, electrical light fittings, steel elements on parapet walls, air-conditioning brackets, and main entrance steel elements. The project requires the supply, installation, and certification of scaffolding for accessing high areas, and all necessary materials are to be supplied by the bidder. A detailed Bill of Quantities is provided for pricing, and bidders must ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the maintenance of a safety file. The target completion date for all works is July 30, 2026.
