Description
Grand Traverse County is seeking a commercial painting contractor to complete interior painting at the Robert P. Griffin Hall of Justice. The scope includes surface preparation, minor drywall patching and repair, priming, painting designated walls, doors and frames, hollow metal frames, vestibules, columns, trim, ceilings, and portions of a multi-story atrium. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, lifts, scaffolding, protection, cleanup, and disposal. The building will remain occupied, so work must be phased to maintain uninterrupted court operations, safe public access, and protection of furnishings, floors, security equipment, cameras, access-control equipment, artwork, and other existing finishes. The proposal must include company information, similar project experience, three commercial references, a proposed schedule, insurance certificates, safety record, warranty information, a lump-sum base bid, and unit pricing for additional painting if requested. A minimum two-year warranty is required, and attendance at the mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for bid acceptance.
