Description
The Town of Colchester is soliciting sealed bids for a lump-sum project involving water and sewer DOT patching at 226 Norwich Avenue. The work includes milling and paving approximately 93 feet long by 15 feet wide, from the shoulder to the centerline, in accordance with Connecticut Department of Transportation Form 819 requirements. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, traffic control, and a police flagger for traffic patterns under its own DOT road entry permit. Bidders must submit the enclosed bid sheet, bid guaranty, non-collusion affidavit, statement of bidder qualifications, and Equal Employment Opportunity certification. The contractor must have at least five years of industry experience and be licensed in Connecticut. A certificate of insurance naming the Town of Colchester as an additional insured is required at contract award, with specified general liability, automobile, umbrella, owners and contractors protective liability, and workers' compensation coverage. Addendum No. 1 postpones bid submission and opening to October 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
