Description
The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting a contractor for the Iola/GU Parker Road Paving Project, FPID No. 425654-2-54-01. The work covers approximately 3.474 miles of roadway from the end of pavement to Porter Landing Road, including two 11-foot paved travel lanes, six-foot grassed shoulders, clearing and grubbing, excavation and embankment, limerock base, Superpave asphalt, pipe culverts and endwalls, erosion and sediment controls, turf and sod, signs, rumble strips, pavement markers, thermoplastic markings, and maintenance of traffic. The project includes replacement or installation of several drainage crossings and related end sections. Bidders must be FDOT-qualified in Grading, Drainage, Flexible Paving, and Hot Plant Mix-Bituminous Course. The work is to be substantially completed within 120 days and completed and ready for final payment within 150 days after the Notice to Proceed; liquidated damages are $2,529 per day. A bid security equal to 5% of the maximum bid price is required. Performance and payment bonds, insurance, and other contract security are required from the successful bidder.
