Description
The British Columbia Ministry of Forests, through BC Timber Sales, is soliciting approved commercial nurseries for a single-term contract to produce approximately 9,529,500 forest seedlings for coastal, hotlift, and early-sow species. The tender identifies conifer species including balsam, cedar, interior fir, coastal fir, black spruce, spruce, Sitka spruce, larch, white pine, coastal pine, western hemlock, mountain hemlock, and lodgepole pine. Production and contract deliverables will be planned throughout the fiscal year to meet quarterly targets, with projects completed concurrently under approved work plans and schedules. Stock quality specifications and detailed services are provided in the tender package and schedules. Eligible nurseries must be approved through the Seedling Services REI process and must have grown more than 200,000 trees under government contracts during the past three years. Qualified multi-year suppliers are expected to maintain a performance rating of 90% each contract year, and failure to meet that requirement may result in contract cancellation. Bidders must comply with the Conditions of Tender and the tender and award process. Submissions may be made through the BC Bid system by pre-authorized electronic bidders or by emailing the required tender forms to the specified address.
