Description
The Mississippi Forestry Commission is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to supply, transport, plant, mulch, water initially, and clean up after planting 7-gallon and 15-gallon container-grown trees at municipal and public sites in six coastal counties. Work will be issued through task orders and may involve rights of way, slopes, ditches, parks, open fields, mixed-use areas, remote sites, and high-traffic areas. Contractors must provide watering plans, planting reports, maps or GPS coordinates, and a one-year warranty for plant material. An ISA-certified arborist must be on staff and present during planting, and contractors must comply with applicable licensing, OSHA, safety, and planting standards. The solicitation anticipates a one-year fixed-price contract beginning January 1, 2027, with up to four optional renewals upon mutual agreement. Bidders must submit per-tree pricing for both container sizes, proof of licensing and ISA certification, insurance certificates, company background and experience, references for similar Mississippi projects completed within the last five years, proof of Mississippi business registration and good standing, the required certifications, amendment acknowledgment, and a public copy of the bid. Multiple awards may be made.
