Description
The City of Salem, Massachusetts is soliciting bids for miscellaneous road materials and aggregates on an annual requirements basis. The contract period will be from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027, with the option for the City to extend the contract for two additional one-year periods at its discretion. The scope of work includes various types of soils and borrow materials, aggregates, screened loam, bituminous materials (including asphalt top mix, hot mix asphalt binder, winter mix, and emulsion), cement concrete, cold patch, and disposal of asphalt and concrete. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder based on the base bid amount. The City reserves the right to award sections of the bid to multiple vendors. Pricing for all items is to be awarded within the timelines indicated on the bid pricesheet. Deliveries for road materials and aggregates will be made to various streets throughout the City of Salem and specifically to the Salem Public Works Facility located at 5 Jefferson Avenue, Salem, MA 01970. Bidders must comply with Massachusetts General Laws and submit required certifications and bid security.
