Description
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Base Los Angeles-Long Beach is soliciting bids for modifications to the fire alarm and fire suppression systems at USCG Station Morro Bay, located at 1279 Embarcadero, Morro Bay, CA 93442. This acquisition is specifically set aside for certified HUBZone small business concerns. The scope of work involves relocating or installing new smoke detector heads as required, particularly in bathrooms and the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with applicable fire and safety codes. Additionally, two fire suppression sprinkler heads will be relocated or removed from areas with a risk of accidental activation. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, services, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the modifications in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA 72 for smoke detectors and NFPA 13 for sprinkler systems. The work is expected to be performed Monday through Friday between 08:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
