Description
The Louisiana Board of Regents Support Fund Research and Development Program is seeking fundamental and applied research proposals under the Research Competitiveness Subprogram (RCS) and its RCS One-Year research component. Eligible applicants are full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty at eligible Louisiana public institutions and participating independent institutions. Proposed work must support research competitiveness and may address eligible STEM or social science disciplines identified for fiscal year 2026–27. Funding may not be used solely for conferences, services, routine operating costs, literature reviews, protocol development, or general equipment purchases. RCS awards may request up to $200,000 over a maximum three-year period; RCS One-Year awards may request up to $20,000 for a maximum one-year period. Proposals must be submitted through the LOGAN system and include the required electronic forms and uploaded materials, including a cover page, project summary, goals and objectives, narrative and bibliography, budget and annual budget narratives, current and pending support, history of support, biographical sketches, and a proposal appendix. Narrative limits are 15 pages for RCS and five pages for RCS One-Year, with a two-page bibliography limit; uploaded narrative materials must be in PDF format with numbered pages, one-inch margins, and at least 12-point type. Equipment requests require an institutional cash match of at least 25% of equipment cost. The mandatory notice of intent is due September 11, 2026, and the full proposal is due November 6, 2026, both at 4:30 p.m. Central time.
