Description
The U.S. Air Force is seeking one new commercial-off-the-shelf 2,000-gallon double-wall aviation fuel trailer. The trailer must have a stainless-steel primary tank, mild-steel outer containment vessel, minimum 7-gauge construction, internal baffling, DOT approval for transporting and storing JET-A/JP-8, and DOT highway towing approval at full capacity. It must be delivered fully assembled and ready for immediate operation. Required equipment includes a pump capable of refueling and defueling aircraft, aviation-grade hoses, piping, and fittings, tank-level and leak-detection gauges, a minimum 20-inch hatch with vacuum/pressure vent and lockable fill cap, an integrated fuel sump, isolation ball valve, grounding equipment, and related components. The trailer must have a minimum 21,000-pound GVWR and a minimum 6-inch channel frame or equivalent strength. Equal products require comprehensive technical documentation demonstrating compliance with every salient characteristic. The quote must include standard commercial warranty terms. Evaluation will be based on lowest price and technical acceptability, with the technical narrative limited to 10 pages.
