Description
The Watertown Housing Authority is soliciting electronic general bids and filed sub-bids for Phase 2 of the McSherry Gardens modernization project. The work covers the remaining 38 units across five eight-unit buildings and includes kitchen and bathroom replacements, removal of ACM flooring and installation of resilient and tile flooring, and replacement of failing, unsafe, or noncompliant mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. General bidders must hold current DCAMM certification for General Building Construction. Filed sub-bid opportunities are available for tile, resilient flooring, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Bids require a deposit of at least 5% of the greatest possible bid amount, including alternates. The estimated project cost is $4,882,000. General bidders must meet participation benchmarks of 8.6% MBE, 8.8% WBE, and 3% VBE, and workforce benchmarks of 6.9% women and 15.3% minorities.
