Description
Monroe City, Utah has enacted Ordinance 6-01-2026 to adopt the Utah Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Code as part of its municipal code. The ordinance adds Chapter 11.2 to the Monroe City Municipal Code, incorporating the current edition of the Utah Wildland Urban Interface Code as adopted by the State of Utah. This code provides standards, requirements, and mitigation measures for development, construction, and maintenance within areas subject to increased wildfire risk within city limits. The ordinance also adopts a map presented to the City Council. It includes a repealer clause for conflicting ordinances, a severability clause, and an effective date of June 18, 2026.
