Description

The Federal Highway Administration is soliciting sealed bids for the full-and-open construction of three-span concrete bridges replacing existing culverts at Salt Valley Wash, Salt Wash, and Winter Camp Wash on Delicate Arch Road in Arches National Park. The work includes bridge construction with drilled-shaft foundations, roadway realignment and rehabilitation, drainage improvements, embankment construction, riprap, structural concrete, epoxy-coated reinforcing steel, bridge railings, guardrails, temporary traffic control, and delineators. The base schedule includes approximately 0.99 miles of roadway work and two parking lots; options include approximately 0.35 miles of additional roadway work and one parking lot. The project also includes full-depth reclamation, asphalt paving and overlays, concrete curbs, sidewalks, parking improvements, erosion and sediment controls, environmental monitoring, and traffic diversions. The estimated project price is $10 million to $20 million. The solicitation includes a 10% HUBZone price-evaluation preference, subject to the stated exceptions and waiver provisions.
