Description
The Natural Resources Conservation Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contract for an emergency watershed protection project addressing stream erosion into a county road. The work includes channel clearing and shaping, construction surveys, mobilization and demobilization, installation of approximately 1,700 tons of rock riprap at a 36-inch thickness, and installation of approximately 575 tons of riprap bedding at a 12-inch thickness. The contractor must furnish the required labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals, including Type 3 riprap and specified bedding aggregate. The project must be completed within 30 calendar days after notice to proceed, with the bid schedule separately stating a total performance time of six calendar days. Award will be made to one responsible bidder based solely on price. A 20% bid bond is required with the bid; a 100% payment bond or permitted alternative payment protection is required within 10 calendar days after award. The estimated project value is $100,000 to $200,000, and the acquisition is a 100% total small-business set-aside.
