Description
The USDA Forest Service, Kisatchie National Forest, Calcasieu Ranger District, requires a contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to identify, fell, remove, and dispose of designated hazard trees within approximately 75 acres of the Fullerton Lake Recreation Area near Pitkin, Louisiana. The work includes felling and removal of hazard trees (downed dead trees 6 inches or larger, standing dead trees 6 inches or larger, structurally compromised live trees, and marked sweet gum trees), limbing, bucking, site cleanup, hauling and disposal of woody debris to a designated gravel pit approximately 10.3 miles away, stump grinding within the campground footprint, and mastication within a designated mastication area. The contractor must provide an ISA Certified and Louisiana Agriculture and Forestry licensed arborist on-site at all times during tree work. All work shall comply with ANSI Z133 safety standards. The contract is a firm-fixed-price purchase order with a 60-day period of performance. The solicitation is unrestricted (no set-aside).
