The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities is seeking a contractor to remove and dispose of existing kitchen base and wall cabinets, countertops, trim, and backsplash, then furnish and install replacement cabinets and approximately 18–20 linear feet of new laminate countertops in the existing L-shaped configuration. The replacement must maintain the existing footprint and layout, with no plumbing, gas, or electrical relocation. Cabinets are to use solid oak and oak-veneer plywood construction, with concealed soft-close hinges, soft-close drawer glides, owner-selected brushed-nickel pulls, and a finish matching the existing cabinets. The countertops must include a matching 4-inch backsplash and cutout for the existing double-bowl sink. The contractor must protect adjacent areas, disconnect and reconnect the existing sink, faucet, dishwasher, electric range, and over-range hood, verify dimensions before ordering, reconnect plumbing without leaks, level and secure the range, perform finish adjustments and cleanup, and dispose of debris in accordance with New York State requirements. The occupied residential facility requires daily securing of tools and materials, coordination with facility staff, and a quality-control inspection before completion. Prevailing wages apply, and the work is to be completed within 30 days of award unless otherwise modified.
