Description
Wayne Township is soliciting bids for the supply of Sodium Hypochlorite for the Water Pollution Control Facility. The contract period is from August 20, 2026, to August 19, 2028, with the possibility of two one-year extensions. The selected vendor will be responsible for filling and refilling Township-owned tanks with Sodium Hypochlorite, 15% chlorine by volume. Deliveries are to be made within 48 hours of an order being placed, with emergency deliveries required within 6 hours. Trucks must be cleaned before use and capable of discharging contents into Township tanks without Township personnel or equipment. Drivers must be able to read and speak English, be trained in handling the chemical, and be versed in the company's emergency procedures. Deliveries are scheduled between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise arranged. The vendor will also be responsible for instructing approximately 45 employees on the safe handling, use, and storage of the product.
