Description
The City of Chico's Water Pollution Control Plant is soliciting bids for the supply of chemicals for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. The estimated quantities are 325,000 gallons of commercial-grade Sodium Hypochlorite (minimum 12.5% active) and 135,000 gallons of commercial-grade Sodium Bisulfite (minimum 25% active). Both chemicals are to be delivered in 5,000-gallon bulk lots. Deliveries are expected between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027, during operational hours of the Water Pollution Control Plant, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding City holidays. The bid cost should include delivery to the F.O.B. Destination at the Water Pollution Control Plant, located at 4827 Chico River Road, Chico, CA 95928. Payment will be made within forty-five (45) days after delivery and upon receipt of an invoice. Sales tax (9.25%) and a California Pesticide Mill Assessment Fee (2.9% for Sodium Hypochlorite only) are applicable but should not be included in the bid cost.
