Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is soliciting a contractor to perform approximately 182,336 square yards of scrub seal and 123,904 square yards of chip seal on Tongue River Road, Route S 332 C000332, from milepost 0.0 to 17.7. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, incidentals, mobilization, Type 1 chips, polymer-modified rejuvenating emulsion, CHFRS-2P liquid emulsified asphalt, traffic control, pilot cars, water, sweeping, rolling, brooming, temporary pavement markings, and related operations. The work includes roadway preparation, emulsion application, scrub brooming, chip placement, traffic management with maximum traffic stops of 15 minutes, environmental and erosion-control compliance, required permits, and responsibility for private-property damage claims arising from the work. The project must be completed by June 18, 2027; the scrub seal and chip seal operations are limited to four continuous working days, with one additional day allowed for sweeping. Bids must be submitted through the eMACS Items tab, and bid security equal to 10% of the total bid is required when the total bid is $150,000 or more.
