Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking consulting firms for approximately four as-needed term contracts to provide traffic safety engineering services at various locations throughout Montana. The scope includes safety and crash analyses; intersection control evaluation studies; updates to safety performance functions and level-of-service-of-safety models; systemic safety applications; evaluation of existing safety processes; local road safety plans; road safety audits and corridor studies; railroad safety studies; and stand-alone roadway, pedestrian, bicycle, systemic-application, and crash-database studies. The anticipated contract period is January 2027 through December 2029, with possible one-year extensions, subject to a maximum total term of five years. Each anticipated agreement is approximately $250,000, although MDT may revise the number of contracts, contract values, or timeframes. Proposals are limited to seven pages, excluding required appendices, and must address team qualifications and approach to task assignments. Montana professional engineering licensure must be held at proposal submission. Required appendices include resumes, MDT's cover page form, and at least five similar contracts from the past three years with detailed client references.
