Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is soliciting proposals from consulting firms for Phase 1 services for the Lavina-Ryegate Bridges project. The selected consultant will prepare an alternatives analysis and complete work through approval of the Scope of Work report for replacement of six existing timber structures with new bridges or culverts. The project may also include minor roadway improvements and approach guardrail upgrades. Potential services include roadway design; traffic engineering, operations analysis, and design; geotechnical investigation and design; surveying; environmental evaluation and permitting; bridge design; hydraulics analysis and design; and coordination with local agencies and stakeholders. Proposals must address team qualifications, project approach, quality assurance and quality control, schedule, relevant experience, professional licensure, organizational structure, and proposed equipment or software. Montana professional engineering licensure must be held when the proposal is submitted. The prime consultant is expected to perform at least 50% of the work unless MDT grants a written exception. The proposal is limited to five pages, excluding the required appendices, and must include resumes, MDT's cover page form, and at least five similar contracts from the past three years with detailed client references.
