Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a seven-month, firm-fixed-price sole-source contract to Cummins Inc. for a Generator 40 controls upgrade. The contractor will remove the existing controls and furnish and install new POWER COMMAND 3.3 controls and modules, a universal remote annunciator monitoring panel, and associated installation components and labor. The work also includes generator test runs, load-bank testing, testing with the building load, startup and commissioning by a qualified technician, and delivery of operating and owner’s manuals and warranty information. The notice invites interested parties to submit evidence that competition would benefit the Government, including an OEM authorization letter or equivalent, evidence of service capability, and information on whether the respondent is the manufacturer or a third-party service provider. The notice is informational and is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
