Description
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is soliciting applications for pilot effectiveness projects. These projects will evaluate therapeutic and service delivery interventions aimed at the post-acute management of mental health conditions. The focus is on interventions matched to the stage of illness, addressing aspects such as consolidating treatment gains, managing residual symptoms, preventing relapse, and promoting adherence to services. This initiative supports pilot effectiveness research designed to assess the feasibility, tolerability, acceptability, safety, and preliminary effectiveness of these approaches. The goal is to gather essential data for informing the design of larger-scale effectiveness trials. Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations, including state governments, non-profits, educational institutions, and tribal governments.
