The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking construction services to remodel and upgrade the Human Resources side of Building 17 on the Roseburg VA Medical Center campus. The contractor must provide project management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, demolition, construction, quality control, and phased coordination with VA staff. The scope includes wall preparation and painting; lead-paint encapsulation; ceiling-grid and tile replacement; carpet and flooring demolition and installation; vinyl wall base; asbestos abatement for suspected asbestos-containing materials; wall framing; door repairs and painting; new blinds; furniture relocation and storage; and renovation of two bathrooms. Bathroom work includes fixture and piping demolition, new flooring and wall finishes, new toilets, urinals, sinks, epoxy finishes, and ADA-compliant grab bars. The contractor must maintain an authorized representative on site during construction, conduct weekly project meetings, comply with applicable life-safety requirements, and complete the project within 120 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A limited Notice to Proceed may allow up to 90 calendar days for submittals and approvals before the full Notice to Proceed.
