Description
The City of Port Orange is soliciting bids from a certified Florida general contractor for the mitigation reconstruction of a flood-prone home. The work must comply with the Florida Building Code, ASCE 24-14 or the latest adopted edition, National Flood Insurance Program requirements under 44 CFR Part 60, applicable local floodplain-management ordinances, and FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program requirements. Bidders must be commercial entities licensed to do business in Florida and properly registered and licensed for the required services. Attendance at the pre-submittal conference and site visit is mandatory for eligibility, despite another notice describing the event as non-mandatory. The City anticipates awarding one contract, with a stated contract term ending November 12, 2027. Electronic submission through OpenGov is required.
