Description
The City of Charlottesville, through Charlottesville Area Transit, is soliciting a quotation for one replacement Cummins ISL long-block engine with CM2150 emissions equipment for a 2008 Gillig Low Floor 35-foot transit bus. The contractor must be a factory-authorized Cummins original equipment manufacturer dealer and/or distributor. The scope includes supplying and installing the engine; removing and securing the existing engine as a returnable core; cleaning and inspecting the engine bay; transferring fuel-system components, accessories, and the Voith transmission assembly; installing the City-supplied hydro damper, fuel filters, and air filter; replacing necessary hoses, incidental parts, coolant, engine oil, and hydraulic oil; updating engine-control software, serial-number registration, and injector-trim calibration; performing regeneration, testing, road testing, and final quality inspection. Pricing must include labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, and other required costs, with optional towing priced separately. The contractor must provide an operations and maintenance manual, wiring diagrams, parts list, and applicable warranties. The work is to be performed at the contractor’s service facility within 100 miles of Charlottesville Area Transit.
