Description
Boone County Fiscal Court seeks a vendor to operate and maintain a staffed, public waste drop-off facility in Boone County, Kentucky, and accept county-issued vouchers for disposal of debris, bulk items, and garbage. The vendor must validate vouchers on site using an electronic device capable of retrieving resident information and verifying voucher validity, and provide monthly reports showing service dates and residents’ addresses. Implementation and ongoing maintenance of the validation and reporting process must be included at no additional cost. The solicitation estimates approximately 3,000 voucher loads annually but does not guarantee a volume; bidders must quote a fee per voucher load. Residents transport the waste to the facility, and the County reimburses the vendor for valid vouchers. Loads are limited to one pickup-truck bed or one 8-foot trailer, with additional charges to residents for loads exceeding the stated limits. Liquid waste, hazardous waste, and paint are excluded; mattresses and tires may be accepted at the vendor’s discretion with additional charges to residents. The initial term runs January 1 through June 30, 2027, with up to three additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement.
