IDEA Florida, Inc. is requesting proposals for a fully managed, leased-lit fiber WAN or equivalent solution connecting six Florida instructional and administrative sites to two designated hubs in Austin and Weslaco, Texas. The solution must provide dedicated, symmetrical 1 Gbps transport bandwidth, terminate at each building’s demarcation point, support scalability and site changes, and provide resilient routing designed to withstand a single fiber cut or site failure. Respondents must describe network designs and alternate routes, identify existing and newly constructed infrastructure, disclose third-party providers or subcontractors, and include all required network electronics, equipment, software, installation, recurring charges, non-recurring charges, and special construction costs. The requested service includes a 36-month term beginning July 1, 2027, with no renewal options. Proposals must meet specified service levels, including 99.99% availability efforts, latency, packet-loss and jitter commitments, two-hour outage response, four-hour restoration, and 24/7/365 support with ticketing and escalation. Vendors must participate in the E-Rate program and provide valid SPIN and FCC registration information. The response must use the buyer-provided pricing attachment and include the required proposal narratives, certifications, forms, references, insurance or bonding evidence, pricing, site information, and completion checklist.
