Description
Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority is soliciting sealed bids for the CIP-2348 Galvanized Waterline Replacement Project. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to install approximately 700 linear feet of 4-inch waterline and approximately 11,345 linear feet of 6-inch waterline across multiple streets in Hardeeville and unincorporated Jasper County. Work includes PVC and ductile iron water mains, bore-and-jack and open-cut roadway crossings, tapping sleeves, gate valves, fire hydrant and blow-off assemblies, service connections and meter relocations, abandonment of existing waterlines, roadway and driveway restoration, erosion and sediment control, traffic control, clearing and grubbing, testing, water sampling, and as-built documentation. The bid is awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total cost. Bidders must submit references, an Experience Modifier Rate, a Health and Safety Plan, required affidavits and forms, pricing on the Bid Form, and street-by-street anticipated start and end dates. A bid bond equal to 5% of the bid amount is required when the total bid is $100,000 or more; the awarded contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The work must be completed and invoiced by December 31, 2027.
