Description
The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement to address challenges in behavioral health care within correctional settings. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between existing policies, staff training, and evidence-based behavioral health care approaches. The project will involve a gap analysis of behavioral health services, a review of institutional policies, and stakeholder engagement. A key deliverable will be the creation of a dynamic e-course for correctional staff, covering topics such as trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and crisis intervention strategies. The total funding available is $150,000 for a 12-month project period.
