Description
Mount Royal University is renewing prequalified contractor lists for general, mechanical, and electrical contractors to perform as-required construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair work at its Lincoln Park and Springbank campuses. Work may include service calls, urgent repairs, minor renovations, larger capital projects, and coordination of specialty subcontractors. General contractor applicants may apply to either the list for projects under $200,000 or the list for projects from $200,000 to $5,000,000; mechanical and electrical projects may be valued up to $5,000,000. Up to five contractors may be prequalified for each list at the university’s discretion. The prequalification is expected to run for 35 months, with a proposed start date of January 4, 2027, and does not guarantee work. Applicants must submit the required forms, valid COR or SECOR certification, WCB documentation, and a surety letter confirming per-project and aggregate bonding capacity, including at least $5,000,000 per-project capacity except for applicants to the general contractor list for projects under $200,000. The submission also requires company, experience, project-delivery, resource, sustainability, quality-management, and health-and-safety information, along with rates for the three-year validity period. Selected contractors may be required to provide insurance, including $5,000,000 comprehensive general liability and $2,000,000 auto liability coverage, before services begin.
