Description
The City of Avondale Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Department is soliciting applications from potential contractors to provide a wide range of recreational programs and activities. These programs aim to foster new skills, promote health and well-being, and expand cultural and artistic development for residents of all ages. The Department will partner with selected instructors to offer programs across various facilities, providing marketing support through their RAVE guide, email blasts, website, social media, and park kiosks. Instructors will be responsible for managing their courses, ensuring participant safety, and adhering to City policies. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum registration numbers are not met, and instructors are paid 70% of the revenue generated by their programs, with payments processed within 30 days of invoice submission. Key requirements for instructors include maintaining appropriate participant-to-instructor ratios, holding current CPR/First Aid certifications, undergoing background checks and fingerprinting, and submitting a program proposal with details on classes, fees, and schedules. The agreement will be for an initial term with the possibility of up to four successive one-year renewal terms.
