Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, is soliciting refrigerated milk products, including whole milk, 1% low-fat milk, fat-free/nonfat skim milk, and chocolate milk. Products are packaged in 8-fluid-ounce containers, 50 containers per case, with estimated annual quantities specified for each product. The contractor must provide at least two deliveries per week, generally Tuesday and Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and noon, with delivery orders placed at least one workday in advance. Products must be transported, held, and delivered at 32–40 degrees Fahrenheit, delivered no later than 72 hours after pasteurization, and be less than 24 hours old upon delivery. The contract is a single-award, firm-fixed-price, five-year indefinite-quantity contract with a $1,000 minimum guarantee and a $340,000 maximum ceiling. The offer must include pricing, a capability narrative and quality-assurance plan, production information, HACCP documentation, and up to three recent, relevant past-performance references.
