Description
The Chicago Housing Authority seeks a vendor to provide freestanding filtered rentals of water and nugget ice machines for break rooms and a conference room at two facilities. The scope includes turnkey delivery and installation, placement and leveling, water and electrical connections, system startup, preventive maintenance, filter replacement, repairs, warranty extensions, service logs, and replacement of defective equipment. Water machines must provide touchless hot and cold dispensing, with a safety lock or two-step activation for hot water; filtration must meet NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 372 standards. The vendor must respond to service calls within 24 hours and replace defective or irreparable machines within 24–48 hours. Quotes must include installation, maintenance, filtration, and warranty costs, and must provide machine details and dimensional drawings, equipment certifications and utility requirements, a service-level agreement, service coverage, installation and delivery timelines, commissioning documentation, and references. The contract has a three-year base term beginning December 1, 2026, with two one-year option periods.
