Description
The Town of Hartford is soliciting bids for fall 2026 paving work on Christian Street, Airport Road, and Quechee Main Street. The scope includes cold-plane milling approximately 5,509 square yards of existing bituminous pavement; placement of approximately 278 tons of Type IV bituminous concrete shim course and 922 tons of Type III bituminous concrete overlay/wearing course, each containing no more than 20% recycled asphalt product; installation of approximately 6,816 linear feet of 3/4-inch shoulder stone; and painting approximately 7,771 linear feet each of 4-inch yellow center lines and white fog lines using fast-drying, waterborne traffic paint meeting TT-P-1952 requirements. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, trucking, asphalt disposal, cleanup, tack-coat emulsion, traffic control, compaction testing, and related incidental work. Work must be completed before winter conditions in 2026 unless the season is extended under Vermont Agency of Transportation standards. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond and, for the successful bidder, payment and performance bonds each equal to 100% of the bid price, along with specified liability insurance and a certificate naming the Town as an additional insured. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid forms and include pricing for all bid items.
