Description
The City of Edmond Public Works Authority is soliciting two outdoor, three-phase, mineral-oil-filled power transformers rated 138 kV to 13.09 kV, with specified capacity, cooling, monitoring, protection, and accessory requirements. The transformers must be delivered by truck to locations to be specified, unloaded and assembled on their pads, and supplied complete with required accessories and oil. The manufacturer must provide field service for installation, inspection, adjustment, testing, and initial operation, and train the purchaser’s personnel. The bid also requires equipment data and technical responses, including guaranteed loss information and evidence of short-circuit strength. A five-year warranty is specified. Transformer A receives a preference for domestic manufacture, but domestic manufacture is not mandatory. Transformer B must comply with the Build America, Buy America Act and HUD federal funding requirements, with a required certification for the applicable infrastructure project. The initial order is for two transformers; additional units may be ordered as needed. The contract may be renewed annually for four years, subject to acceptable services and prices.
