Description
Douglas County School District RE-1 is soliciting proposals for dedicated, symmetrical, point-to-point Layer 2 connectivity between two new schools and the District’s data center. The service must support scalable bandwidth from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps without changing local equipment, with single-mode fiber handoffs to Cisco Layer 3 devices at each school and the data center. The two school locations are 11151 Adage Road, Lone Tree, Colorado, and 8328 Piney River Avenue, Littleton, Colorado; the data center is at 8675 Concord Center Drive, Englewood, Colorado. Proposals must include pricing for one-, three-, and five-year contract options, plus up to five voluntary one-year extensions. The selected provider must construct, install, test, and activate the services by February 1, 2027, and provide a deployment schedule demonstrating compliance. Pricing must separately identify recurring and nonrecurring charges and use a consistent monthly recurring charge during the pre-E-rate and standard contract periods. The response must address the requested technical approach, deployment schedule, qualifications, K-12 references, pricing, exceptions, and required certifications and forms.
