Description
This sources-sought notice is market research, not a solicitation for bids, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The anticipated project includes approximately 0.4 miles of new levee using about 70,000 cubic yards of compacted earthen material to provide flood protection. Related work includes installing a 60-inch reinforced concrete pipe with dual closures through the levee, constructing four levee ramps and a seepage berm, building access roads, realigning a borrow-pit slough, and cleaning out part of an existing slough downstream of the new culvert. The agency is seeking information from firms about their interest, qualifications, comparable construction experience, business size, teaming arrangements, and bonding capacity. Responses are limited to five pages and must include at least three examples of comparable projects. The estimated construction price range is $5 million to $10 million. The future procurement is anticipated to be a competitive, firm-fixed-price invitation for bid; the set-aside decision has not yet been determined.
