Description
The City seeks a qualified construction contractor to demolish the existing cemetery maintenance and sales building and construct a replacement maintenance shop and sales office. The work includes demolition and disposal, a concrete foundation and flatwork, a wood-framed structure with engineered trusses and masonry, roofing, interior finishes, and associated HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other trades. The project is specified as a turnkey, firm-fixed-lump-sum proposal, with an estimated budget of $300,000 and completion required within 270 calendar days after the written Notice to Proceed. Proposals are evaluated on price, schedule, personnel and relevant experience, references and reputation, and contractor proximity. A 5% proposal bond or cashier’s check is required; performance and payment bonds are required at the stated contract-value thresholds. The solicitation also requires contractor registration before proposal opening and limits subcontracting unless the City is notified and approves the planned subcontractors before opening.
