Description
The City seeks a contractor to demolish and remove a one-story, 17,775-square-foot commercial building, excluding its concrete slab. Work includes removing and legally disposing of personal property, demolition debris, and any asbestos-containing material identified or discovered; clearing, grading, and seeding the disturbed area; and removing the building sign and patching the asphalt. The contractor must also address sewer capping, permits, utility coordination, and environmental requirements, including proper handling and disposal of asbestos and any storage tanks or refrigerants encountered. The specifications state that roofing material and floor tiles are assumed to contain non-friable asbestos and are to remain in place during demolition. The project is to be completed within the stated 10-business-day period after Notice to Proceed; the RFQ also lists 15 days as the work-completion period.
