Description
The City of Pikeville is soliciting bids for demolition and replacement of the existing exposed aggregate sidewalk, curb, and curb and gutter in front of the building at 164 Main Street and along Division Street. The contractor must coordinate with the current occupant regarding additional exposed aggregate sidewalk work that will be performed under a separate agreement. The solicitation includes construction, safety, qualification, warranty, insurance, and contract requirements. The successful bidder must provide adequate equipment, personnel, experience, and understanding of the specifications. Bid, performance, and payment bonds are not required unless otherwise stated in the contract documents; however, lien-release documentation or equivalent paid receipts will be required before final payment. Award is generally to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting specifications.
