Description
Loudoun County is soliciting a qualified general contractor to retrofit and convert Stormwater Facility MD1745 from a Level I wet pond into wetlands. The work includes removing, hauling, and disposing of accumulated sediment, vegetation, and earth; constructing sediment forebays, plunge pools, wetland cells with intercell berms, and a flow channel; installing landscape plantings; and removing approximately 4,200 cubic yards of cut material. The project is located on one parcel owned by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, with access through an existing easement on adjacent property. The solicitation is an open Invitation for Bid. An optional virtual pre-bid conference was held on October 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The county-led site visit occurred on October 7, 2026. Bids may be submitted electronically through the county's iSupplier system or by sealed mail or hand delivery. Electronic submissions must be PDF-only and unencrypted. Required bid materials include applicable forms and signed addenda, a current certificate of insurance, bid security, a Virginia Class A contractor license, bonding-capacity verification, and qualifying project references. Substantial completion is required within 365 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with final completion 30 calendar days later.
