Description
The New Jersey Department of Children and Families, through its Children's System of Care, is seeking to qualify providers of one-to-one support services for children, youth, and young adults under age 21 with developmental disabilities who attend their own qualified summer day camp or alternative recreational session programs. Services include direct supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, behavior support, communication, safety, community integration, crisis planning, and participation in recreational activities. Overnight camp participants are excluded, and providers must be qualified or concurrently seek qualification to provide the underlying summer camp or alternative recreational services. The program will operate during summer 2027, generally from June through August, with services available for up to seven hours per day and specified maximum participation limits depending on the program type. Providers must supply appropriately qualified staff, substitute coverage, training, background checks, documentation, authorization tracking, billing, incident reporting, and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements. Reimbursement is fee-for-service at $7.69 per 15-minute unit, subject to available appropriations and authorization; no service volume or funding is guaranteed.
