Description
Prince William County is requesting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering design firms for a new approximately 40,000-square-foot Juvenile Services Center. The scope includes programming, space planning, architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, landscape, geotechnical, surveying, environmental, floodplain, traffic, utility, permitting, cost estimating, value engineering, LEED Gold certification support, bidding assistance, construction administration, warranty assistance, and project closeout. The selected consultant will support the project through design, construction, and closeout, including in-person construction progress meetings, project walks, inspections, public meetings, submittal reviews, payment application reviews, change-order reviews, RFI responses, and preparation of plans, specifications, permits, estimates, and record documents. Amendment 2 provides an updated schedule showing the project extending through project closeout on August 7, 2031, with construction scheduled from March 23, 2029, through August 8, 2030, followed by a warranty period. Proposals must include the RFP Submission Form, required architectural and engineering data forms AE-1 through AE-6, an understanding of requirements, approach and work plan, management plan and timetable, project team qualifications, firm experience, references, proprietary and confidential information form, and other requested information. Cost proposals will be requested later from the highest-ranked firms during negotiations.
