Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research on whether and how its Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor program could provide ordering access and coordination for Federal Supply Schedule specialty and limited- or closed-distribution products. The envisioned approach would make products orderable through the prime vendor platform, coordinate fulfillment with manufacturer-designated specialty distributors when required, and support accurate invoicing and transaction visibility even when products are drop-shipped or bypass the prime vendor physically. The RFI asks industry to address feasibility, pricing, performance, competition, manufacturer restrictions, onboarding timelines for new products, system and operational investments, order tracking, reporting and invoice reconciliation, and compliance with manufacturer programs. Responses are for market research only; no contract will be awarded from this notice.
