Description
The National Institute on Drug Abuse is conducting market research for organizations capable of supporting its drug supply program. The work includes synthesizing or acquiring controlled and uncontrolled drugs and research compounds, including isotope-labeled compounds and peptides; maintaining inventory; testing and maintaining chemical purity at no less than 95%; and replenishing depleted or newly identified compounds. The contractor would also maintain the Drug Inventory Supply Control System, process researcher requests, securely store compounds under appropriate conditions, and safely ship approved materials to investigators. Vendors must be able to receive and store hundreds of compounds, including kilogram quantities, refrigerated materials, and solutions subject to Drug Enforcement Administration requirements. A DEA Research Registration for Schedules II–V is mandatory, and vendors must demonstrate the capability to obtain Schedule I registration. Responses are capability statements for market research, not proposals; they must address organizational and technical capability, personnel, relevant experience, and references, and are limited to ten pages (with specified exclusions).
