Description
The District seeks a turnkey provider to rent and configure business laptops for STAAR testing at multiple sites across Texas. The anticipated initial deployment includes 65 laptops in the Austin area, 165 in Grapevine, 85 in Houston, and 60 in San Antonio; final quantities and specific site addresses will be provided later. Laptops must meet stated minimum specifications, run the required testing browser and speech-to-text software, and include the necessary peripherals and power equipment. The provider is responsible for delivery, setup, takedown, and off-site storage between testing weeks where required. The contractor must provide at least one onsite technician at each site on testing days, arrange required training and background checks for setup personnel and technicians, and provide customer support from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central time. Accidental damage and theft coverage is required. The District expects the contractor to coordinate any subcontractors, while remaining the District’s sole point of contact. The contract has an initial term through June 30, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal periods.
