Fayette County is soliciting bids for construction and installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 85 and the Highway 85 Connector. The scope includes traffic signal cabinets and controllers, LED vehicle and pedestrian signal heads, pedestrian push-button stations, poles, pullboxes, conduit, overhead signs, directional boring, and associated installation materials. The work also includes steel strain poles, guardrails and terminals, thermoplastic pavement markings and traffic striping, raised pavement markers, permanent grassing, agricultural lime, fertilizer, erosion-control measures, and other construction allowances. The bid sheet requires bidders to state the time needed to commence work after notice to proceed and the number of days required to complete the project; warranties and all applicable material, equipment, labor, and installation costs must be included in the total bid.
