Description
The Washington State Blueberry Commission is soliciting professional executive director services covering financial and operational management, assessment administration, regulatory compliance, board and committee support, contractor and vendor oversight, grant development and reporting, and management of commission-funded research. The contractor will also serve as the commission’s public spokesperson and public records officer, maintain industry relationships, and prepare recurring reports and meeting materials. The scope includes domestic and international blueberry marketing and promotion, market development with emphasis on Asian markets, grower and packer outreach, industry training, and coordination with state and national blueberry organizations. The proposed responsible individual must meet specified education and experience requirements, including a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, marketing, or a related field and at least seven years of similar experience, or equivalent education and experience. The contractor must provide its own office space, equipment, workstation hardware and software, networking, and internet services.
