Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police requires preventative maintenance, inspections, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems at detachments in Arviat, Baker Lake, Chesterfield Inlet, Coral Harbour, Naujaat, Rankin Inlet, and Whale Cove, Nunavut. The primary scope includes oil-fired boilers, furnaces, domestic hot-water heaters, air-handling units, exhaust fans, fan-coil units, chimneys, plumbing fixtures, piping, pumps, and related equipment. Contractors must perform annual community visits, with additional troubleshooting, repairs, emergency response, and routine service calls authorized as needed. The contract includes equipment reports, deficiency reports, maintenance logbooks, cost estimates, service-call reports, and annual summary reports. Bidders must provide qualified plumbing/pipefitting and HVAC resources, relevant recent project references, an Inuit Benefits Plan, and required security documentation. The opportunity is limited to firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry, and bids may be submitted for any location; evaluations are conducted separately by location, with up to seven contracts possible. The contract period is 36 months, and selection is based on a combined rating of Inuit Benefits Plan merit and price.
